Matan Zohar aka MRSA
London-based producer and DJ Matan Zohar was born into a artistically gifted family and aged 8 Matan taught himself the guitar and soon became a drummer in a jazz band and bassist in a rock band. After listening to dance music artists such as Daft Punk and the Chemical Brothers, he began teaching himself to produce and DJ dance music. In 2006, aged just 16, Matan won the Baroque Remix Competition with Lustral's "In My Life". Under his Mat Zo alias he has gone on to remix for Andy Moor, Markus Schulz and Tiesto and he has also released on such labels as Intuition, Armada and Anjunabeats. Songs In The Key Of Knife is delighted to be adding Matan's drum+bass and dubstep output to the catalogue. Although still a relative newcomer to drum+bass his debut track "Different" under his MRSA alias went in right at the top, appearing on no less than three huge compilations: Sick Music, Hospital Mix 8 and Addicted To Bass on Ministry of Sound. Everything this producer touches turns to gold! |
