Pekka Kokkonen and Otto Hassinen aka Takomo are well briefed in the detailed and welded soundscapes of techno, dubstep and, most notably, nuskool breakbeat. The pair have released music on labels such as Botchit Breaks, Fusetrax, Trans:verse, Destructive, BreaksFM, Sango Music and Urban Graffiti. They have been named tune of the month in Mixmag and have been supported by the likes of Annie Nightingale, Tayo, Ctrl Z, Jay Cunning, and Reso. Their DJ sets that reflect the versatility of their production, moving fluently between different soundscapes of breakbeat to dubstep and electro, with a hint of techno, house and the occasional drum+bass selections. Besides the breakbeat scene, they've also worked on indie film scores, game music and soundtracks for digital art. |
