Tony Colman has a music writing and performing career spanning over 20 years. A hugely talented musician proven across many genres he has had top 40 successes as the creative force behind acid jazz based Izit before he developed into the legendary drum+bass producer London Elektricity and the CEO of Hospital Records who we know today.

Working alongside pop acts like Hard-Fi, jazz musicians like BBC award-winning vocalist Lianne Carroll and of course legends like New York house vocalist Robert Owens, it is hard to find writers both as talented and experienced as Tony Colman. He has now released five studio albums; “Pull The Plug” (1999), “Billion Dollar Gravy” (2003), then “Power Ballads” (2005). Between 2003 and 2005 Tony fronted ‘London Elektricity Live’, bringing together a group of musicians including jazz /soul legend Liane Caroll, vocalist MC Wrec and co-producer/drummer Landslide. The next album from London Elektricity saw Tony return to his solo production with “Syncopated City” (2008) and in 2011 London Elektricity released his fifth studio album “Yikes!” which features the vocal talents of Swedish vocalist Elsa Esmeralda.

Alongside producing, DJing, touring the world, tweeting @LondonElek and running the Hospital label from South East London (alongside partners in crime, Chris Goss and Tom Kelsey) London Elektricity also presents the multi award-winning fortnightly Hospital podcast. Tune in for more from LE!
